Language: English
Medium: Immersive performative installation

A comedic self-focused participatory installation piece, in which the ‘performer’ or ‘participator’ is invited to be seated within the constraints of the work, then peel and consume a banana as they please. This process is streamed live, through the digital video camera, and projected onto the suspended blank polystyrene board beside the placement of the consuming subject. The aim was to challenge the topic of self-focus and broadcasted comfort, additionally working with the idea of live-streamed performance content, in a way that might persuade the audience to either back down from the position, or offer themselves forward.
